When I used to log out of Hotmail, I would automatically be redirected to the msn.com home page, where I could read news. Now upon logout, Firefox or the Windows Firewall directs me to a page telling me the advantages of using Explorer 9. I'd just like to log out of hotmail and get to msn.com homepage! (I should mention - I'm an American living in the UK at the present).

Just tried my hotmail to see if any changes - no. When I logout of Hotmail, firefox briefly flashes up a message asking if I want to allow a re-direct, but presumably MSN circumvents that as within seconds it effectively redirects anyway to the MSN site. I am not using Windows firewall. I am not getting the redirect you mention about IE9, possibly MS is aware my current machine is incompatible with IE9

Personally I would prefer Hotmail just to log out, if I had wanted the MSM site I would have chosen it, and MSN is easily available from options on the Hotmail site.
