Firefox crashes unexpectedly when changing websites, reading email, or just doing nothing. The crash address is 0x7c812afb and changes with every crash. Ran several virus scans, memory scans, and other trouble shooting methods. Firefox even crashes in safe mode.

I am not sure from the details you provide what is crashing.

Is this actually crashing the XP Operating System

  • giving you a blue Screen ?
  • and stopping you from using the computer until you reboot ?

If it is only Firefox crashing, and the computer does not need rebooting, Firefox will attempt to record information and submit a crash report. (see firefox crashes)
