Windows XP, SP3. Just started with upgrade to 10.0.2. Original home pages also open in separate tabs. It's an annoyance.

Problem solved. The "prefs.js" file was set to read-only. I had done it deliberately a while back to keep my home page setting from being changed by mal-ware, and had forgotten what I had done.
