I imagine Zone alarm will have settings or procedures for disabling or uninstalling that feature. Have you tried their support site ?

Thanks but none of these links solve my problem. I use Firefox and when I click to open a new tab the Zone Alarm search window comes up !

And the Conduit Toolbar uninstaller didn't remove that toolbar?

Kinda crappy that a "supposed" security program installs Malware! Might make a person wonder how good the basic product is.

I haven't tried uninstalling the security toolbar yet since the main nuisance I find is clicking on the new tab sign and finding the zone alarm logo search window

I found a way to solve my problem which was to go to add-ons manager in Firefox and told it to remove the ZA security toolbar and that's it. Thanks for all your responses

your section on ZoneAlarm Search Removal does not work

but i found a better way

in firefox type about:config

search on the word 'zone'

reset all the values to nothing by clicking on reset for each value with zone alarm in it

it works and resets the search to google in the address bar
