I'm using Firefox 34.0.5 and everytime i start it sync isn't working. It either says session expired, you need to sign in to continue or asks me to re-sign in with a password in order to work. None the less when i manage to sign in sync doesn't save my bookmarks and other stuff.

I have to troubleshooting questions: Do you have cookies enabled for accounts.firefox.com?

Do you have dom storage enabled as well? Firefox Sync troubleshooting and tips (go to the end of the article)

Does this happen on all or one device, and does this happen with all of your other sites that require logins?

If changing the cookie settings does not help, try it in Firefox Safe Mode to make sure its not an add on: Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode

Then we can take a look at the logs to see if there are any errors: * How do I turn on sync logs:

  1. Open about:config and turn on: services.sync.log.appender.file.logOnSuccess and services.sync.log.logger.engine.bookmarks
  2. Restart Firefox and look at: about:sync-log
  3. Logs and error messages will be located here

Please also use pastebin.mozilla.org for sharing any errors that relate to this issue.

Thank you.

Thank you for your reply. My settings are set to always enable cookies, dom storage is enabled. It only happens on my desktop computer running windows 8.1. I haven't had this issue with previous versions of firefox with the same config and software. I have no problems with other sites and logins either on firefox or other browsers. I will try safe mode to see if it isn't an add-on (currently, i'm only using addblock plus, dangerous website blocker, safe money and wirtual keyboard from kaspersky internet security 2015).

Tried the safe mode but still no go. By the way, i'm always using the private browsing mode. The scenario is always the same, when i launch firefox, i click the menu, the sync bar shows i'm connected to firefox sync, then i click the sync bar which takes me to sync options, in sync options menu i click "manage" button and it opens a tab where i get this "session expired, sign in to continue" message over and over again.

HI nowakjan2000 That is why, the private mode will not save any history or activity in that session. This would include logins.

For example, if you are logged into sync and you open a regular window and a private window the private window will show a sign in and in a regular window you will see the logged in session. Private window browsing It isn't saved or synced.
