Trying to set up my email on an ipad, but the information I'm using from my settings is unnacceptable to the ipad, and says "Cannot Connect Using SSL"
As above, setting up ipad, but it requires a verify email to be sent. Sent it to my email address about 1 million times, but it doesn't appear.
Went through the mail setup on ipad, but it when I try to send it says "Cannot connect using SSL"
Then comes back with this "account may not be able to send or receive email"
What is the point of that?
All of this is in an attempt to simply get a verify email, so I can use so I can use iTues to purchase apps. Without the verification; I can't do anything at all with the ipad.

Ok, I will try, but I doubt you will like my answer any better.
- Thunderbird does not run on IOS.
- There is no such thing as a Mozilla mail account.
- Mozilla do not issue mail addresses, except to their staff.
- Thunderbird is a mail client, it connects to email accounts supplied to you by third parties and aggregates and downloads mail from those accounts.
So at the risk of being called another tool. I suggest you contact the people who actually issued you with the email address, Be that your ISP, Yahoo,Microsoft, Google, GMX or one of the thousands of other email providers. They most probably have a very detailed tutorial on their web site on how to configure an iPad for their email accounts.
You are not going to get an answer to your original question here, simply because your question assumes you have a Mozilla mail account. You do not.

Since Thunderbird does not run on iPads, what does this have to do with Thunderbird?

Because I require an email sent to my mozilla email account to verify my itunes.
If you have nothing constructive to add aside from further questions that in no way solve my problem; please leave this thread.
thanks.
It seems like a legitimate question. But I will gladly leave you to figure this out on your own.
By the way, there is no such thing as a Mozilla email account. Email providers issue email accounts and Thunderbird is an email client.
Thanks for marking it Helpful. :)
Good lord, what is wrong with you?
I'm sure it makes you feel clever to tap around on forums twisting people's words and giving useless replies that do not answer peoples questions. It just makes you look like an arrogant tool, and defeats the purpose of having a forum for questions.
If I could do this myself; I would. If you have nothing to useful to add; LIKE AN ACTUAL ANSWER, not further questions; STOP REPLYING
Please go away Airmail.

Thanks Matt,
I acknowledge your response, and appreciate you taking the time.
Perhaps I didn't phrase my question 100% correctly, and as you say it was actually an incompatibility between my Thunderbird email address and the verification process; which is now resolved.
Frankly I didn't expect Airtime to split hairs about the exact wording of my question, and then proceed to make a rhetorical response that served only to satisfy his immense ego, whilst providing absolutely no useful information, nor even a direction to move in.
I am highly skilled in metal fabrication, plumbing, pneumatics, and engine building; and and I repair multi million dollar pharmaceutical manufacturing machinery, but I'm not so great with home computers.
When someone asks me a slightly misinformed or slightly technically incorrect question, I don't then ridicule their lack of knowledge and leave them to founder and fail. Instead I try to assist them without making them feel a fool.
I guess the internet gives a voice to arrogant know it alls to act with impunity, where speaking face to face does not.
Once again Matt, I appreciate you taking the time to assist.
Regards, Dale.
