My yahoo home page has all kinds of things on it and when I try to click on anything, it is frozen. I want my original yahoo home page back. Also, in my toolbar on top of the search magnifying glass is a plus sign in a green circle. I can't get rid of it and it is not allowing me to click on my yahoo page. Please help.

The presence of the green plus added to the search engine icon means that a website offers a search engine.

If the website offers a search engine then you will notice a green plus next to the search engine icon and an "Add..." item in the search engine menu that opens if you click this button.

That green icon should not be able to cause your issue, that is most likely caused by something else.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
