website Humana.com, Profile drop down does not show in Firefox but does show in Internet Explorer. Humana support gave the following: Clear the Browsing History in the Internet Options - I did clear the history. Add humana.com to the Compatibility View Settings (IE8+ only)- which I don't know what that means.

Unfortunately, Compatibility View is a setting of Internet Explorer to support older sites that have not been updated for several years and only work in older versions of IE. I find it hard to believe Humana would let things slide that long. Either way, Firefox does not have that feature.

Since the instructions they gave you are for IE, I wonder whether they have any suggestions for Firefox? If they do not, or do not bother testing in Firefox, then you might have to use IE for their site.

One other thought: there is some possibility that an add-on is hiding that element. Could you test in Firefox's Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode.

If Firefox is not running: Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox.

If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
  • Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

and OK the restart.

Both scenarios: A small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Refresh).

Any difference?

The profile still doesn't show in Safe Mode.

Hmm, I think it may be difficult to investigate further without an account on the site. Or is there a public (no login required) page that demonstrates the problem?

Hello, I checked, there is no Public Profile. They only told me to call a web specialist at 1-877-845-3480.

So I guess, I will use the internet explorer when I have to use their website.

Thanks.
