Intermittent problem accessing yahoo mail from thunderbird client. Error message says: Login to server imap.mail.yahoo.com failed.
During the last several days, I am often unable to access imap yahoo account from Thunderbird. Error message says: Login to server imap.mail.yahoo.com failed. This error eventually resolves itself without me doing anything, and then happens again. Other mail clients, such as iPhone mail app, work fine with yahoo imap server. Any suggestions?

Hi lashirman.
Please check Thunderbird IMAP account settings according to https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN4075.html. If its OK, I would suggest to try to contact Yahoo support, if they can check why the login has been unsuccessful. It might be e.g. due to high number of connection in the same time, but that we cannot check, as we do not have access to Yahoo mailservers.
