I'm currently unable to delete or move files within Thunderbird on either of my machines on any of my email (LCN.com) accounts. Neither is my Girlfriend on her computers with her accounts.... We get the error: The current operation on "inbox" did not succeed. The mail server XXX@YYY.com responded: unknown UID command move. ....?

The error sounds like a server misconfiguration. when Thunderbird connects to an IMAP mail server one of the things that is passed to Thunderbird is the capabilities of the server. Thunderbird is issuing move commands, something that occurs only after the server says it can do move. the server is going no way.
ipso facto the server lied.
