16 Jun 2017 Concerns: TV Live of https://www.rt.com/on-air/ is OK with SeaMonkey and Internet Explorer, but crashes freezes with browsers Firefox, GoogleChrome, Opera, Yandex Hallo, I have a problem with https://www.rt.com/on-air/ This is the English language TV or Live of RT.com. It does work OK with the browsers First: SeaMonkey browser and the Internet Explorer browser . But it does NOT work with the browsers Second: Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera and Yandex. With the second browsers, RT live TV, picture and sound freeze, after about one minute. Then the browsers say that I have not ended the browser. After some time I can start the browser again but the same problem after a shorter time than one minute(freezing of picture and sound). I am using Firefox 54.0 (32-Bit). I am using Windows 8.1 and my computer has 64-bit The problem exists since about 1 Jun 2017. Without Java: Live or TV does not start and does not function.

A second problem I had until end of May 2017, but no longer now. Since the end of year 2016 until about end of May 2017, I had another problem with Firefox: The text version of https://www.rt.com/

( not the TV or Live) frequently crashed after some time and asked for 'Stop plugin' several times. At that time the rt.com Live or rt.com TV worked OK. I have solved the problem with the add-on NoScript by Giorgio Maone for the Mozilla Firefox browser. This same problem, I also had with Google+ at the same time.

It may be that the same hackers are interfering with rt.com since the end of the year 2016. But cannot interfere with browsers SeaMonkey and InternetExplorer. Or there is a technical change not made by some browsers. Or some browsers are immune to the interference by these hackers.

I had no problem with https://www.rt.com/on-air/

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP- in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Using your mouse, mark the most recent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Press the Reply button. Now go to the reply box and paste them in.

I just have tried rt.com Live TV again and it freezes again but it does not produce a crash report on the Firefox browser. ( 17 Jun2017 here about 1.10 Central European time.) The rt.com here does come from the Netherlands according to the IP address, I think for years already. One Firefox add-on (I think) says: DNS spoofing.rt.com. but this is also at least since last year.

User Comments; With Mozilla Firefox browser: TV live freezes (picture and sound) after about 1 minute each time, for some weeks now. But SeaMonkey browser functions OK. Text is OK with both. The problem is only with Mozilla Firefox and RT.com general and Live. The RT.com Live British seems to be OK with both browsers

Separate Security Issue: Update your Flash Player Note: Windows users should download the ActiveX for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).

Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the ActiveX.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Thank you very much for the answer. I have tried your suggestions (also start in safe mode), but the problem is not solved.

1.The problem ONLY does happen with

TV Live of https://www.rt.com/on-air/

2. I do have other TV Live stations which all do function OK ( e.g. from China) with the Firefox browser. It is ONLY the TV Live of https://www.rt.com/on-air/ which does not function with the Firefox browser.
3. In addition: TV Live of https://www.rt.com/on-air/ is OK with SeaMonkey and Internet Explorer, but crashes freezes with browsers Firefox, GoogleChrome, Opera, Yandex .
4. Therefore because of these reasons, it does look to me that the problem originates from hackers. Some browsers do seem to me as stronger against the hackers.

I do not have more crash reports because I or Microsoft had installed my Windows 8.1 again some weeks ago. I had installed all the programs on my computer anew. That because of the many crashes of the Firefox browser with rt.com and Google+ without the NoScript add-on. So I do have the latest installation.
