There is one fundamental problem that prevents me from going back from chrome to firefox: the spell check in multiple languages. I speak 3 languages and I work continuously between Spanish, English and Italian. Having to switch language each time when composing a an email in Gmail is such a pain. How to I make the spell check work simultaneously between the 3 language I speak without having to change dictionary each time?

That's not possible, unfortunately. There's an add-on (Dictionary Switcher) that : a) hasn't been updated in years and b) doesn't seem to do what it promises to do (according to the reviews) : https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/dictionary-switcher/

Is this on the same web page or do you want to use a specific dictionary on a specific website.

Firefox can detect the language used on a web page and automatically select the correct dictionary. If Firefox doesn't do this then you will have to select the correct dictionary yourself. I don't know if Firefox saves this as part of the Site Preferences, so make sure that you do not clear the Site Preferences and that you aren't using Private Browsing mode.
