Hi, no idea. Sync is not a backup service so if not syncing with another computer/device. no idea. Note you could lose access to the sync data as login will not work after a format. Note if are syncing to another device should turn it off as it can wipe data when syncing again and you do not have the same data.

If you want the data that Sync uses then do this :

I have to ask, could I logon to a certain webpage (that Mozilla created) using my firefox sync username and password and then be allowed to see all of my current firefox synced data. at that point i would also have the choice to erase all my firefox synced data if i needed to.

Hi, not possible. We do not even do anything with Sync here. Just provide information. Firefox Volunteer Support does not have access to that and really I do not think anyone but you does.

Back up all the data you want to save before formatting to keep your data safe. Use another hard drive, backup service, cloud . . . .
