I have installed, uninstalled and reinstalled Thunderbird many times, but would not find an option to import anything from Eudora. On first time opening, Thunderbird (TB) asks for setting up accounts and not for 'import'. Under Tools>Import, only Becky Mail and Outlook are listed. No Eudora.

My Eudora containers mails of over 25 years and I see no way importing these to Thunderbird. Soliciting your help. Thanks: Jag

Hi Eudora - I remember it well, but it has been a while! This Mozilla article says "Importing from Outlook and Eudora in the built-in import wizard was disabled in version 38 as they broke. Eudora import was permanently removed in version 48. You can work around this by using an older version of Thunderbird. Version 17.0.9 is probably your best bet as version 24.* and 31.* sometimes crash when importing." http://kb.mozillazine.org/Thunderbird_:_Issues_:_Import_From_Eudora There are some suggestions that may help, but this was suggesting you use version 17 to import, and Thunderbird is at version 60 now. There is a link to Thunderbird 17 in the article. Good luck, Agnes

It was indeed a great help. I installed TB v17 and successfully imported my mailboxes and address book from Eudora to Thunderbird (TB). Thereafter, TB auto-updated to version 38. It is fine and I do not see any need to go in for v60. Thanks for instant help,. - Jag Singer
