Weren't those deleted files in the Windows Recycle bin ? You can possibly create a so called smart bookmarks folder using a place: query in the location field of a new bookmark. *name: Place:Downloads *location: place:transition=7&sort=4 *https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Mozilla/Tech/Places/Places_query_URIs You need to close and restart Firefox or do a Cut/Paste to a different folder to make the bookmark work as a smart folder (it will get a special cogwheel icon). If you do a copy of this smart folder via the right-click context menu then you get the URLs of all the links in this folder that paste in a text file and can use to re-download.
