How do I restore a previous session after splitting firefox in 2 windows
I use the session restore option, but when I open a new firefox window (by detaching a tab) and forget to close last the window with most tabs, the restored session is the single tab that I detached. This has happened a couple of times, but I can't remember exactly how to solve it, just that there was an action that would 'pop out' the previous session, like opening a new window and closing the last tab there. any tips?

Use one of these to close Firefox if you are currently doing that by clicking the close X on the Firefox Title bar, especially if you want to reopen the previous session at the next start to ensure that you close all open windows. Otherwise you can check "History -> Recently Closed Windows/Tabs".
- "3-bar" menu button -> Exit (Power button)
- Windows: File -> Exit
- Mac: Firefox -> Quit Firefox
- Linux: File -> Quit

If you go to history and click on recently closed windows, then click on reopen all windows, does that bring them all back?

Sadly no, as I was trying to restore the session, I opened and closed a few separate windows, so they are listed instead, but this might solve the issue if used right after. Thanks.

I can't test this anymore, as it has been a long time it happened, but i remember trying something like it at the time. Thanks for the suggestion anyway
