Today I received an update to my Android cell that is supposed to fix errors when trying to connect to various microsoft domains. That is OK. However, I have been having problems with embedded videos not playing on the MSN.com website; ie the news article comes with a video that will not start. Is there a pending update to Firefox for Windows 10 that will fix the video playing problem.

An update just came out for the regular Firefox. See if your Android has an update.

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1359657#answer-1463359 and updated to 95.0. . . . I finally found where the plugin "Widevine Content Decryption Module provided by Google Inc." was not updating to the newest version of December 1, 2021. Ver #4.10.2391.0

cor-el; Make sure you have the latest Widevine version. You can toggle DRM off/on to see if that makes Firefox (re)load DRM components.

You can possibly check the XHR requests in the Browser Console if this doesn't work.

Sorry, I was not clear in my original post. My Android works fine. The video not playing problem is on my Windows 10 PC. My Firefox version is 95.0 The latest version of the Widevine plug-in on my W10 PC is the same version number you mention above, although my system indicates it was updated on November 19, 2021. As to checking the XHR requests I was able to open the Browser Control but it was all Greek to me. I have copied and pasted the Browser Control results below, if there is anything obvious to you that would lead me to a solution....

WebExtensions: reset-default-search: starting. api.js:183 WebExtensions: reset-default-search: has already ran once and saw panel, exit. api.js:210 HTTPS-Only Mode: Not upgrading insecure request “http://ocsp.sca1b.amazontrust.com/” because it is exempt. Thanks for your help. It is appreciated.

I can't read it either and called for more help.

Make sure your Firefox is up to date; Press the Alt or F10 key to bring up the toolbar. Then Help > About Firefox will tell you what version you have. WARNING: and install any updates.
