SafeMode is a troubleshooting / diagnostic mode that purposely disables all installed extensions; you can't selectively enable specific extensions while you're running in the SafeMode.

What are you trying to accomplish?

i want to enable the parental block add on in safe mode. because my younger brother uses the safe mode.

My son also has figured out that starting Firefox in safe mode disables all the add-ons, including the parental controls. I haven't figured out how to prevent access to safe mode.

Is there a way to prevent a user form accessing safe-mode? i.e a registry key, a password, or admin right.

I'm using FF3.6.6 on Windows XP. Add-on is ProCon Latte.

Try a Parental Control program that runs in Windows, outside of Firefox and works with all the browsers on that PC. Something like this: http://www1.k9webprotection.com/

I've found parental controls are bulky and give me a lot of features that I don't need.

If your kid is like 12 or older even younger

Just let your kid look at what he wants, unnecessary comment deleted by a moderator - derogatory comments related to any religion aren't suitable in this forum

he's going to find a way to bypass it anyway, i went to an IT class for 4 years you can bypass anything its easy, and quick
