BBC Iplayer asks me to enable javascript in order to use content even though I have javascript already enabled. How do I correct this?

When I try to use BBC IPlayer to listen to the radio it tells me that my Javascript needs to be enabled. However I already have my javascript enabled. I have used google chrome and the content works fine so it is not the websites problem. How do I fix this problem? I have tried updating Firefox and Flash but neither has fixed the problem.

Try to uninstall and reinstall Flash. Flash Player uninstall: http://www.adobe.com/go/tn_14157 (this will remove the Firefox Flash plugin and the ActiveX control for IE)


Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes). See Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems and Troubleshoot issues with plugins like Flash or Java to fix common Firefox problems

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears. You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the Safe mode start window to disable all extensions. You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

This problem has just started up for me too. I uninstalled and reinstalled Flash player and I ran Firefox in safe mode. That made no difference at all.

Any other ideas please?
