Is there a way to seperate the clearing of browsing & download history and the form & search history into 4 seperate options?

Under the "Clear Recent History" you have the option to clear the "browsing & download history" and "form & search history"

Can these b made into 4 separate options? I don't want to have to clear my dl history in order to clear my browsing history. The same with my search history. Those are things I'd prefer not to clear, but in order to clear the browsing and search histories I'm stuck with deleting ALL or nothing.

Unless, is there a manual way that avoids using the "CRH" option altogether?

You can clear the browsing history via the History sidebar (Ctrl+H). If you do that regularly then you only need to delete the current day.

I hope it's the done thing to add to an old thread, instead of starting a new one.

I'd like to be able to clear my form history, but not clear my search history.

I'm using Firefox 7.0.1, but it still seems to be a combined option.

Would it be possible to separate the two options in later versions?

I've found two extensions that might help, but it would be nice to simply have two separate options.
