Подробнее

Every time I now start the pc and go to my banking web site, I have to answer my security questions. I set the machine to "private", but each new day I still need to answer those questions. This never used to be. I'm not deleting cookies.

My banks tech support supplied the following recommendations:

" I just received an answer from my technical contact and he feels it has to do with deleting of cookies. Here is what he said:

"This is happening because of the deleting security cookies. The browser may be set to delete history, cookies, etc. every time the browser is closed. This could be the issue. Or, there could be 3rd party software routinely delete cookies. This 3rd party software will also cause this "issue".

One workaround is to install Adobe Macromedia Player. Login to Affinity, accept the cookies, log out, close out then retry. When the member has Macromedia Player, the cookie is sometimes installed into the player so this will bypass the security questions."

Please let me know if this helps.'

Such details are stored in a cookie.

  • Create an allow cookie exception (Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: Exceptions) to keep such a cookie, especially for secure websites and if cookies expire when Firefox is closed.
  • In Private Browsing - Use Firefox without saving history mode all cookies are session cookies that expire if that session is ended, so websites won't remember you.

Clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, and passwords.
