three bars at the top of page showing desktop in the background
Since upgrading to windows 7, firefox displays with 4 bars at the top. three of them are clear and show the desktop through. It wastes quite a lot of my searrching page. My old firefox and windows 98 did not do this.

Right click in a free space on your desktop.
Left click on Personalization.
There are four options in Windows 7 at the bottom of the screen, choose "Window Color and Appearance".
Select a border color
Uncheck: "Enable transparency"
Thank you for that, I found the transparency quite annoying. Now all I need is to get those annoying bars at the top condensed into 2 or 3 as it is wasting my page space.
You can see which toolbars are on display via "View > Toolbars" or Firefox > Options if the menu bar is hidden.
- Press F10 or tap the Alt key to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily if the Menu Bar is hidden.
