Have established a Firefox Sync Key account using my iMac, and am trying to sync my PC, using the sync key. Unfortunately, there is no sync button in the Tools, Options menu after the Advanced button, so there is no opportunity to be able to sync my PC (Win 7 64 bit).

Firefox 3.6.3 didn't have Sync built-in like the 4.0+ versions do, you need to install the Firefox Sync add-on for that in Firefox 3.5 & 3.6 versions.

There is a warning in installing this AddOn, recommending upgrading to a more advanced version; however, in attempting to do this, I am told from within FF that I HAVE the latest version, which I obviously do not, since it is now up to 6.0.2 from what I have read. What gives?

If you did have Firefox 6.0.2 the Sync menu item would be in the Options window. Plus the UserAgent of the browser you used to post here is for Firefox 3.6.3.

Take a look at Help > Troubleshooting Information -> Application Basics > Version and see which version it says that you have installed.
