Why can't I open a PHP file as a web page in FF7? I could until I upgraded to 7 today.

I am a web designer and test sites on my local machine (3.06GHz 24" iMac with Mac OS 10.6.8). I open and preview all pages before uploading to my server. I have been doing this with Firefox for YEARS.

Today I foolishly "upgraded" to version 7 and now it is impossible to open any page with the .php file type. If I try, I get a dialog box asking if I want to save or open the file. If I select Open and choose Firefox as the default application, it just loops back to the same dialog box.

There has got to be a way around this since I was able to do it before upgrading.

Hi Rob_Jones-

I would recommend reading this Support article, as it troubleshoots issues with opening/downloading files:

Manage file types and download actions in Firefox

Hope that helps.
