Firefox stores my email screen names, how can I store them? I had to change the password to one and was suggested to delete it... all I wanted was to change the 'remember password', not delete the screen name

You can store a new login name and other form data by entering it in the form on the web page.

If you need to remove old data then use these steps:

  1. Click the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop down list
  2. Highlight an entry in the drop down list
    • Press the Delete key (on Mac: Shift+Delete) to remove it.

Right, I understand the first part which is how I save my Passwords. However, when I changed password to one of my accounts, it did not ask me for an "Update" which is what I am trying to figure out how to "Update"

Make sure that there aren't any entries with a blank name stored in the Password Manager.

  • Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords"

The website may be using autocomplete=off to prevent Firefox from saving the name and password.
You can remove autocomplete=off with a bookmarklet to make Firefox save the name and password.
