According to "Show Update History", Firefox was automatically updated to version 13.0.1 on 6-22-12. Three weeks later on 7-15-12 I saw the "Firefox is applying your updates" dialog when I restarted Firefox. I checked "Show Update History" and it shows no record of a recent update. It only shows the update to version 13.0.1 on 6-22-12.

I have Firefox configure to "Remember history" and I do not have Windows UAC enabled. Why would the "Firefox is applying your updates" dialog appear when Firefox is already up to date? Does this dialog appear during other automatic updates (such as extensions, search engines, Add-ons, etc.) that do not get reported on "Show Update History"?

This event made me paranoid about malware so I did a scan and didn't find anything. Can anyone explain this behavior???

7-15 may have been an update to addons or search engines.
