I was in the middle of surfing when suddenly Firefox went fully transparent and there is nothing i could do. Only minimize, restore and close works.

I have tried updating flash, re-installing Firefox and nothing works.

hello yAxOr, can you try launching firefox in safe mode by pressing the shift key while it is starting and see if the issue is occurring there too? maybe a theme or hardware acceleration is interfering here...

if safemode is working, you can try disabling hardware acceleration in firefox > options > advanced > general and or disable addons that might cause the problem. it also would be interesting which graphics hardware (adapter description, driver date & driver version) you are using - you can access this information in firefox > help > troubleshooting information towards the bottom of that page... thank you

yaxor, what exactly made the problem go away? can you please go into about:support and copy and paste that information to this thread?

from another user we found out that this might be related to malware, could you see if you have the same addons installed, remove/disable them & run a in-depth scan of your system with security software - see https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/940393#answer-377118

Firefox works in safe mode, but in normal mode I have disabled hdw acceleration, run scans and removed 1 bug and disabled addons but no change.

Have you Reset Firefox? Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings have you run malwarebytes and TDSSKIller?

Try a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder before reinstalling a fresh copy of Firefox.

Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

Uninstall your current Firefox version, if possible, to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.

  • Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because all profile folders will be removed and you will also lose your personal data like bookmarks and passwords from profiles of other Firefox versions.

Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.

Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by an uninstall and (re)install, but make sure that "remove personal data" is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.

If you keep having problems then also create a new profile.

Ok, i just ran Firefox in safe mode and turned off DownThemAll 2.0.15. I had that thing installed long time ago and it never caused any problems. That is in tools/add-ons/extensions

Sorry for late answer.
