email issue

more options

I accidentally used my cursor and clicked somewhere on the toolbar that caused the dates of my emails to change. The sequence was not in order and when I finally got my in box emails back there is a week of emails that disappeared. What do I need to do to find or retrieve these emails. They go from March 24 then jump to April 1. I contacted Comcast and not surprised they told me it was a Firefox issue. I checked to see if I sent them to my Trash file but they are not in there so I didn't delete them.

Do you have this problem using their website, or using a separate program, such as Thunderbird, SeaMonkey, Windows Live Mail, Outlook Express, etc.?

This was a recent one time occurrence. When I tried Internet Explorer and connected to my emails using Comcast they appeared the same as with Mozilla. I am sure I clicked my cursor on something in the Mozilla tool bar that changed the date sequence. When I got back to fairly recent emails there was an entire week gone from March 24 until April 1. I'm clueless and Comcast wanted to punt me to their pay for service tech people. I find it outrageous as we pay a fortune (imho) for service that cuts out several times a week. Not only that but you cannot get a technical person here in Pittsburgh or the USA for that matter. The man told me that when I dial their 800 number at least 80% of the calls are outsourced. Ok...I'll get off the soapbox.

Does clicking on the column headings to sort in different ways, or using a search feature, make any difference?

Do you download your mail to any computers or mobile devices, or only view it in the browser?

Clicking on the date changes the date sequence so instead of beginning with the present it begins with emails from 2007. When I click back on date I get the most current without the week that is missing. Nothing happens on the other headings.

Since you see the same list in IE and Firefox, it does sound like an issue on the server. I assume you have checked everywhere else that email can go in your account, such as other folders.

Maybe a Comcast user will have more suggestions.
