FIrefox 20.0 Mac Not Loading Some Websites
I am running Firefox 20.0 on my Mac. My operating system is OS X 10.8.3. Some websites load just fine. Some start to load up, but never finish. The color wheel spins, and I have to force quit. Americablog is one example of a site that isn't loading properly, but there are many others. It appears that large commercial sites -- such as Facebook -- are working fine. I have worked through as many of the fixes as I could follow, and they don't seem to work. Is anyone else having this problem? Does anyone know what to do? Thanks.

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.
To Reset Firefox do the following:
- Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
- Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
- Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
- Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.
Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

Hello, the most common and useful answer when some websites don't load is to clear cookies and cache. Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache. Note: This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to. To clear cache and cookies do the following:
- Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
- Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
- Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
- From the details list, check Cache and Cookies and uncheck everything else.
- Now click the Clear now button.
Further information can be found in the Clear your cache, history and other personal information in Firefox article.

- Hold down the Shift key and click the Reload button with a left click.
OR
- Press Ctrl + F5 or Ctrl + Shift + R (Windows and Linux)
- Press Command + Shift + R (Mac)

thank you
Thank you for your assistance. Once I followed your suggestions, reloaded Firefox, and cleared the cache, the problem was solved for one website. However, when I clicked on the next problem website, the problem recurred and I was unable to clear the cache. Other thoughts?
