I selected options to send me a copy of an email and now my inbox has all my mail in draft form with send only option and the note "A unique identity matching the from address was not found. the message will be sent using the current field and settings for identity" - mine

Good morning, I had asked a question early on Saturday, but was unavailable the rest of the weekend so just now responding to associate Corey Bryan's answer. I had gotten a message that I am using an unsupported version and they recommend downloading the latest stable version. He said it appears that I'm on the "Release" channel and most likely want to be on the ESR channel. I also mentioned that I am a cave-man when it comes to anything computer and am very skittish about making any changes as I don't how to straighten out any errors that might occur. He asked me where I installed Thunderbird from and the answer is that I don't know. It was an IT guy that did it many years ago. So I guess my questions are, if I've been using this version for years, do I need to or should I update it? If so, if I click on the latest stable version of Thunderbird, will that change anything on my computer, aside from getting the newer version of T-Bird? And will my e-mails in Thunderbird look any different? Thanks very much for the help. Tony

I'm using thunderbird for gmail account, and I struggle to mark some events notification as completed when they are deleted using gmail interface. They keep on poping up but when I hit `Dismiss` it gives me this error: ``` Status Code: 2147500037, The request cannot be processed.

I don't want to make my calendar read-only because I'm still gonna use it but I can't remove these annoying pop-ups because of the error. Please help what can I do

Long time Thunderbird user here...

This started about 2 days ago. I have changed nothing in my email account settings and MailWasher is able to download all new messages with identical account settings.

When I hit the Get Messages button, an Error Notice appears stating that "Connection to Server <my server details> has been interrupted." This Notice disappears pretty quickly so I can't capture it for you.

What is this referring to and how can I rectify the situation to enable me to receive New Messages? Although MailWasher can receive the new messages Ok, it is not a practical email client with which to manage my email correspondence.

What ever you can do to assist me with rectifying this will be greatly appreciated.

I am having difficulty with send and receive from a second email address provided by an organisation. Could you provide details of how to delete the 2nd email address currently on my installed version of Thunderbird (128.5.0esr 64 bit).

After deleting I will wait for Support team to resolve their end of the issue before I reinstall the 2nd email account

I'm having trouble opening mail from a remote folder.

I ran this command to authorize the removable media: sudo snap connect thunderbird:removable-media :removable-media

If I mount my remote folder via fstab with this configuration, I can open remote mail with Thunderbird:

user@server:remote_folder/ /media/user/remote_folder fuse.sshfs noauto,x-systemd.device-timeout=5,x-systemd.mount-timeout=5,x-systemd. automount,follow_symlinks,rw,_netdev,users,idmap=user,uid=1000,gid=1000,IdentityFile=/home/user/.ssh/id_rsa,allow_other,reconnect,ServerAliveInterval=5,ServerAliveCountMax=1 0 0

On the other hand, if I mount the same remote folder with the sshfs command :

sshfs -o idmap=user user@server:remote_folder /media/user/remote_folder -o follow_symlinks

Unable to open mail.

Thunderbird v128.5.0 esr (November 2024) Installation of a few days. I am new to Thunderbird. I have only one email account.

I use directories in "Local folders" to manage incoming emails. I want to move (Move to) an email from "Incoming mail" to a directory previously created in "Local folders" --> IMPOSSIBLE I drag the email to the directory but nothing happens, the destination directory remains empty!? No error message?

Not responding message after each time sending an email, I have to wait a while as it freezes every time. Safe mode does the same. It is all up to date also. I use imap.mail.eu-west-.......

I have two Outlook addresses which appear identical in their settings. One address receives and sends mail perfectly. The other receives no mail in its Inbox, does receive mail in Junk and can send mail perfectly. I have repaired the Inbox folder, compared settings with the account which works but can see no difference. The machine is a Windows 11 laptop and the problem has been ongoing for the past year. TB is currently running version 128. Any idea where I have gone wrong?

When I newly installed the software there were 2 accounts that were in the left column and I deleted them. They were accounts that I tried to use in the past. After that I tried to add a new account from settings but couldn't. There is a message that the account already exists. But when I go to account settings, there is only Local folder. How can I add the new account?

Hello all, I was wondering if there is any reason why Thunderbird is reminding me like every other day of the "quick archiver" feature. In the general settings I have the "Thunderbird start page" disabled on launch but I still get the tab regularly informing me of the "new" feature. It annoys and I would like to turn it off. We use Thunderbird as our e-mail client on multiple computers. We also have multiple e-mail providers. On one of our computers we can receive but not send in one of the verizon.net e-mails configured in Thunderbird. All of the critical outgoing settings, are the same except for the e-mail address, Description: Verizon Online, Sever Name smtp.verizon.net, Port 465 Connection Security Normal Password, user name different for each account. I have looked around on the Web and not found any solutions that worked. Thanks very much.

Thunderbird is our e-mail client. We have a number of e-mail addresses. On one of our computers we can receive but not send on one of our verizon.net e-mail accounts. All of the outgoing server information (except the username is the same for both accounts. When we try to send e-mail from the one account it just hangs and never sends (I eventually cancel sending). We are running Windows 11 Professional on the affected machine. Thunderbird is successfully managing e-mail from multiple e-mail providers. When I had time I looked on-line for solutions, nothing I found worked. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

I have thunderbird installed as per the data above on windows 11. The issue is every time i open thunderbird , its starts downloading and indexing the messages , please see the image below

In 2016, whilst importing emails into Apple Mail, about 20,000 email were given the date and times of the import instead of the date from the Received Header. Luckily Thunderbird has retrieved the emails from my IMAP server and given them what appear to be the correct dates. Meh knowledge of the tech behind this is very limited. Anyway, my question is, how can I export a fresh mbox or other format of mail folder with Thunderbird applying the correct dates to each of the messages?
