Please tell me how to tell Firefox to not throw a pop-up on my face and stop forcing me to download and install newer version. This so annoying and it happens several times a day. I have already changed with settings in about:config to false.

I have changed my update options as well.

How can I be let alone?

Why do you not want to update to the current Firefox 30.0 release?

Actually, the above solution does not work. Even if I check box "Never change the updates", it reverts to the setting "Check for the updates" See the attached image capture below.

This is so frustrating. I do not expect Mozilla to design a browser that takes away from me the option of when and how I want to do the updates.
