Firefox got hacked and now I can not sign into MSNBC.COM but can sign in to other sites.
I go to MSNBC for news and commentary. Last week someone got into Firefox and set it so that it minimized every time I hit the "m" button.
I deleted and installed a new Firefox and ended up with Nightly. That cured the problem for 2 days, then I became unable to sign in to MSNBC.COM. It loads and functions perfectly except that I can not sign in. I have tried Internet Explorer several times today and I have signed in repeatedly with it. It seems that there is a security hole in Firefox.

I can sign in again, but did not use your suggested method.
After repeatedly deleting and reinstalling Nightly failed to fix it I did more reading and followed the appdata trail. In the firefox folder I found a bunch of sqlitecorrupt files. Just deleting them did not help but deleting the whole folder did fix it. I can now sign in to ALL sites I visit. Also Nightly is fast!Read this answer in context 👍 0

It is possible to forget the site in about:permissions. Or by right clicking on the page and selecting "Page Info" click on forget all cookies. Try to sign in again and please report back if this works.

Hi miklkit, I am happy to hear this, and I will certainly suggest this if another user runs into this. Thank you . I will mark your post as the solution.
