Installed 33.1.1 and immediately computer slowed, pages did not display correctly if they even opened, pages started crashing, and my dsl connection started timing out. Uninstalled firefox, reinstalled starting at 30.0. No problem. Upgrading gradually. Back to 32.0 without any problems. I didnt have the problems until the last 33.1.1 update. Is there something in the upgrade causing this?

You can try to disable OMTC and leave hardware acceleration in Firefox enabled.

  • about:config page: layers.offmainthreadcomposition.enabled = false

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.
