Thunderbird stopped working so I installed the latest version and now all my addresses are locked, cannot make changes or delete any addresses. What to do?

I had to reinstall Thunderbird, because of a malfunction. After installation the name of my address book changed to "Mac OS X Address Book" and all addresses in this folder are blocked, which means I cannot change, move or delete them. Please advise, Anita

Usually posts complain the mac address book is not displayed.... it is read only. Always has been.

The issue appears to be your personal address book. So look in your profile folder. (help menu troubleshooting information and select the show folder button for the profile.) Is there an abook.mab file.
