Hello,

Lets try to do it. follow the following:

Step 1: type about:addons in your address bar and hit enter.

Step 2: you will see a wheel like image on the upper right hand side of your browser. Click on it.

Step 3: Clicking on it will give you options like check for updates,view updates, install update automatically etc. If your update addon automatically option is checked please uncheck it.

Though that is for Extensions and not Plugins as Plugins like Flash are installed on OS and not in Firefox like Extensions and Themes are.
