Suddenly, TB continued to send OK but stopped receiving new messages. It keeps receiving the last message received, over and over again. This has happened twice in the past and after 4 or 5 days fixed itself. This time it has persisted for two weeks. I still receive the last message I received two weeks ago, then it stops receiving. I have the server set to delete messages after 10 days. Yahoo Mail is working just fine. I deleted and reloaded TB version 31.5.0 and the problem continues. I get no error messages. My receiving settings are port 995 with SSL, as they have always been. Password and other settings check out. I can only guess that it is a problem with a profile or the new version of GB.

I suggest you delete the offending messages via the Yahoo webmail site. It is probably malformed in such a way that Thunderbird cannot successfully mark it as fully downloaded, so tries again next time.

Thanks for the idea.

I cleared the message from the server (It was long gone.) and I Blocked the message in Yahoo, I also Blocked it in TB. However, I still get the same message from three weeks ago and nothing more, so I am sure it has something to do with a Profile. If I can't smoke it our there, I will clear out the profiles and start from scratch.

I'd appreciate any further thoughts as I don't want to lose my Contact List as some of my Messages.

turn of anti virus scanning, what you mention is classic Nortons, but other do it as well.

The mail you were to delete in the next in the que, not the one you have. It is probably in the spam folder

Either action will work.
