I reinstalled Windows 7 and reinstalled Thunderbird. Copied in the saved profile (as I have done several times)

The Gmail IMAP account works fine. The Yahoo mail account would send SMTP but not bring down POP mail. The status indicated connected to POP but nothing comes down.

I set up the account on another computer - Win 8, same AV - works fine. I created another Yahoo account. Set it up on the other computer. Worked. On problem computer. The create account wizard says invalid username or password and configuration could not be verified. The same happens on the problem computer with a new Gmail account. I cut and paste the email address and the password. I have turned off the AV email extension and Firewall.

Suggestions for next steps?

Thank you finitarry. I have tried these.

Any suggestions on why I can't add an account.
