My firefox wasn't working so I closed the window and reopened it and it still wasn't working saying that might be something missing in the file so I turned off my laptop and turned it back on and the window was missing the bookmarks toolbar and menu bar that I have set on and my saved passwords were all erased. Everything else is still there that I know of. Tried doing the about:config thing but that's as far as I got.

Having more than one version of a program may cause issues. You must remove the older programs. Then get the current full installer.

You can check if there is more than own profile folder.

You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:

Go up one level to the "Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles" folder.

  • C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\

If there is more than one profile listed then check their file dates. You can copy the logins.json and key3.db files in an older profile folder to the current profile folder to replace the current files.
