The reader view shortcut key in firefox version 50 doesn't work or appear in the menu on my system.
I am running windows 7 32 bit. and have tried this on a couple of websites where reader view is supported. The menu option opens the view as expected, but the shortcut CTRL+Alt+R listed in the release notes doesn't. It is not listed next to the menu item either.

The keyboard shortcut works for me in Firefox 50 on Windows 7 32-bit.
Please try it in the Firefox Safe Mode. Troubleshooting using the Firefox Safe Mode
As far as the View menu > Enter Reader View not showing that keyboard command, that might be because that command only works if Firefox "sees" that Reader View is available for the page being viewed. And that Enter Reader View doesn't even appear in the View menu if the page doesn't have a Reader View available.
But that's just a guess about the lack of the keyboard command not being shown. But note that the R is underlined, so separate key presses of Alt then V then R does work to show the Reader View, when it is available.

Thanks. I ran Firefox in safe mode, and the shortcut key worked. It turns out that an add-on I have installed also uses the same shortcut.
