Do you mean on the built-in home page, below the search box? Those "snippets" can be removed by hovering your mouse pointer over them until a little "X" button appears in the upper right corner of the snippet, then clicking on the "X".

If you mean a completely separate tab, possibly it was saved as an extra home page?? Firefox allows multiple home pages, each with its own tab. They are listed with a vertical bar in between. For example:

https://www.duckduckgo.com/|https://www.mozilla.org/
