ive been having this issue for a while and have repeatedly tried to fix this,

web pages just show unicode ina box instead of the correct icons

ive tried clearing cahces and cookies, ive checked my about:config to make sure gfx are enabled and even checked fonts and colours

Hi, have you tried refreshing Firefox from Help/Troubleshooting Information?

By doing this way, you can restart Firefox with its default settings and you should be able to fix the problem.
