Having difficulty opening site from existing tab. FF 55.0.3 opens homepage, then when I try to go to another site nothing happens, copy the address open new tab, paste address and the site opens. Doesn't happen with all sites but happens a lot. As if FF is stalled on some sites.

Disabled all add ons and still have the problem.

Update: the problem seems isolated to social media (facebook, twitter), apple's icloud site and google search. You cannot get to a new site by entering address in address bar or search bar. All you get is the existing site and spinning in tab bar. Open new tab add address and it immediately goes to site or results in google.

I did a full refresh of Firefox...reloaded all my add ons and other items (a full 1.5 hour chore) and still nothing has changed.

Think it may be time to abandon Firefox. Have used it exclusively for more than 15 years but now its too buggy.

2nd update: looks like you can get FF to release to new website if you hit the x in address bar and reload arrow if the site is stuck.
