I've tried a great deal of fixes for this issues but none seem to be working. The following are steps i've taken:

Undertaken all pending windows updates both compulsory and optional; updated GPU driver; uninstalled recently installed software; clean installation of Firefox; CMD sfc /scannow; disabled hardware acceleration; ran in safe-mode; changed dom.ipc.plugins.flash.disable-protected-mode to true; updated Firefox from 55 to 57.0b13; ran a full virus check of C and F drives as well as checking their health ( Both 100% ); Memory diagnostics tool with zero problems.

At this point i'm not really sure what to do.

Try to create a new profile to test if your current profile is causing the problem.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.

Thanks for the reply, even with a new profile, Firefox tabs or the programme in general crashes. When I tried to run 'firefox-exe -p', I also got a crash error.

I've noticed however, that the crash doesn't seem to occur when I use Firefox version older than 52. However my bookmarks won't sync to that version.

Firefox is crashing with a EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_READ This is video card driver errors and or Flash errors. Since no Flash installed please : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration Also TRY NO HARDWARE ACCELERATION if it is turned on and see which works best for you.

So Should go to the Manufactures site and see what comes up for these adapters.

Graphics card info : adapterDescription: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 adapterDescription2: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600

I've already tried using different Nvidia drivers for my card, but any older versions won't launch Firefox, period. When I click on the application it crashes immediately. With the latest driver it'll vary as to when it crashes, and no particular task seems to cause it.

Updating the integrated drivers however continues to repeat the crash, I've disabled the intel graphics for now to see how it goes.

Given that it seems nothing is going to fix this unless a driver update suddenly changes the issue, I'm switching back to Chrome.

I see you did not take note that you have to video cards enabled. Usually do not see 2 cards if the on-board chip is disabled in Bios.

Ya you were running latest update maybe. I do not even see Driver Update on their page with that date nor the version number. Version numbers where I am looking show 388.13 on Oct 30th https://www.geforce.com/drivers
