I can't play Farmville2 since the new Firefox installed. What's going on?

Last night when I was playing FV2, the game became really slow, so I closed it and reloaded. Then the "New and improved Firefox" showed up, and I have been unable to get into my game since. My farm will load, but as soon as I click on anything or a window pops up, the whole computer freezes. I have to resort to shutting off the switch on my hard drive, and rebooting everything. I play on Zyngagames.com and they are zero help. Can anyone tell me what is going on? Am I now unable to play the game? Chrome is not an option, and neither is any other browser out there.

I have Windows 7. Have 321GB of 465RAM clear. Fast internet speed.

Hello,

The Refresh feature (called "Reset" in older Firefox versions) can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your bookmarks, history, passwords, cookies, and other essential information.

Note: When you use this feature, you will lose any extensions, toolbar customizations, and some preferences. See the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article for more information.

To Refresh Firefox:

  1. Open the Troubleshooting Information page using one of these methods:
    • Click the menu button New Fx Menu, click help Help-29 and select Troubleshooting Information. A new tab containing your troubleshooting information should open.
    • If you're unable to access the Help menu, type about:support in your address bar to bring up the Troubleshooting Information page.
  2. At the top right corner of the page, you should see a button that says "Refresh Firefox" ("Reset Firefox" in older Firefox versions). Click on it.
  3. Firefox will close. After the refresh process is completed, Firefox will show a window with the information that is imported.
  4. Click Finish and Firefox will reopen.

Did this fix the problem? Please report back to us!

Thank you.

The above didn't help. After posting the question, I completely uninstalled and re-installed firefox in the hope that would make a difference. Nothing changed.

I should also add that all other sites are working fine in firefox.

Just an update on this.....I WAS able to finally get into my FV2 game late last night. Go figure...??? However, NOW I'm unable to keep Firefox loaded on my computer. I have to install it, go in and play my game, and then when I go out of it, I lose the browser and am left only with the Firefox icon on my tab bar at the bottom of the screen. When I click on that icon, I get an error message saying "The item referred to by this shortcut cannot be accessed. You may not have the appropriate permission". Wth? What next?
