How do I set Thunderbird not to delete downloaded emails from my Email server?
I am a new user to Thunderbird. I used Eudora for years. Eudora had a place where you could check or not check "leave emails on server". I can't find that setting in Thunderbird.
From reading some of the past questions it sounds like such a setting does exist in Thunderbird. I can't find it. Would someone please direct me to it. Thank you.

If you set your email account up as IMAP that option does not exist. IMAP is server based so you are viewing the messages on the server from your computer or devices. If you delete it from the server it is gone everywhere.

I don't believe that I set up the account as IMAP. Someone else walked me through the settings.
I do know that when I press GET MESSAGES, I can see the messages loading into my program. It looks the same way messages loaded into Eudora.
It is possible that the option is there. I just don't know where to find it. Is POP or something like that a setting? Okay. Let's assume that I did not set the account up as IMAP. Where would I find the option to not delete emails.?

My error. I just looked through all the options and found that I set up the account as a POP server and when I looked down that page I found the LEAVE MESSAGES ON SERVER UNTIL I DELETE. So It looks like I did have it set.
Sorry for the confusion and thank you for your help.
