When I open a new tab the new tab shows my "top sites", my top "top site" is gone, can I get it back?
Firefox 62.0, Thinkpad t470, Win 10 Pro When I open a new tab the new tab shows my "top sites". For ever (I don't remember exactly how long, 6 months, a year) the top left tile was Google search, the address copied from my history (https://www.google.com/). I assume it was the top of my top sites because I click it a lot more than any other site. I average ~40+ hours a week using the internet and when I open a new tab I may click any one of my top sites but 90% of the time I click the top left tile, that's how I start a search, I start a lot of searches.
A few days ago, Sept 10th, Firefox prompted me to update and I did, from 61.0.2 to 62.0. I clicked to start the update then was away from the computer for several hours. When I returned and started using the updated Firefox, I opened a new tab and went to click my top left google tile and it was gone, replaced by a website my history shows me having visited 166 times, my history shows me visiting Google 1701 times. And the Google tile wasn't just shuffled to another position, it's gone. All of the tile positions are populated, just not by Google.
Sorry, I'm long winded. Any idea how to get it back, preferably without clearing history? I know all this sounds petty, but that tile and I go way back and I really miss it. Thanks, 27

Just in case the tile got onto the "blocked" list (where tiles go if you "Dismiss" them), you can reset the list as follows:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button promising to be careful or accepting the risk.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste blocked and pause while the list is filtered
(3) If the browser.newtabpage.blocked preference is bolded and "modified" or "user set" to one or more alphanumeric codes, you right right-click > Reset the preference to unblock whatever those are (I don't know how you can tell)
