Facebook Overrides Master password
I use a master password to access my accounts on various sites. On Firefox for Android v65. 0, this works on all accounts except Facebook.com
Some how, typing http://facebook.com into the browser brings up facebook's login, bypassing the use of the master password feature in Firefox. It never kicks in and never saves the user name or password. This is the only site that does this. Any ideas?

You really should use https://facebook.com And instead of typing it every time, why don't you simply create a bookmark?
I go straight to the facebook login page dialog at https://m.facebook.com/ where I have to enter the user/password
When you get prompted for the Facebook user ID and password, Firefox hasn't remembered your credentials (yet). Hence there's no need to prompt you for the master password.

Based on the information you provided I don't see any reason why it should. Why do you think it should?

Your user ID and password certainly won't be stored in a cookie. It's rather some sort of authentication token.

Are you saying that Firefox's password manager autofills the username and password on Facebook without your having to enter the Master Password? That could happen if you already entered it recently during your current Firefox session. I don't think you have to re-enter it again for quite a while.
If you meant that Facebook just logs in without using Firefox's password manager, the most likely explanation is a cookie that keeps your FB session alive.

Yup. The Firefox password manager never shows up to do its thing. I type into the browser http://facebook.com and I go straight to the facebook login page dialog at https://m.facebook.com/ where I have to enter the user/password before going on to my Facebook page. If a cookie has stored my username/password data, I would think that the dialog would not have shown up at all.
Somehow they are suppressing the Firefox feature and bypassing it completely. I cannot even find a way to get the login data into the Firefox password list as I have done with other sites.
I use cookie the auto delete addon and I have the built-in firefox cookie delete (upon exit) option activated.
So, no, Facebook doesn't automatically log me in. It still asks for my user name and password but password manager never intervenes or gains access to the user name and password I type in.
