I use a laptop without a touch screen. It is hard to position the cursor correctly. When moving the cursor it is hard to keep it from moving off the scrollbar button.

You normally set the width of the scroll bar in the operating system settings via a gtk.css file.

Note that Firefox on Linux has been using GTK3 for a good while now so if you have a GTK2 theme in use on OS then Firefox will look unthemed and have a rather narrow scrollbar.
