Facebook Permissions

I want to use Facebook Messenger to talk with or video with my friends. This used to work up until the latest Firefox update. Now when I try using messenger to record audio, it says Facebook doesn't have permissions and to go to settings to allow it. When I go to settings, there is NO WAY for me to do this without some website previously ASKING for permissions. And unfortunately, Facebook isn't smart enough to ask for permissions, maybe because several firefox revisions ago I GAVE it permission to use my devices.

It's not just the computer, either. I have this problem with all my computers. I don't have this problem with other browsers. Just Firefox.

I have this same problem with Windows 10 regarding sending audio clips in message instead of text in Facebook. I do, however have a bunch of items to keep Facebook under control, such as "Facebook container" .."add block" .. and several others. I'm wondering if these are preventing Facebook form requesting mic. permission? In any regard, I prefer to keep Facebook out of my affairs. They even want linked or shared access through most apps, which I detest! Zuckerbergler is getting a nose beyond Pinocchio.
