Hey, All of the saved logins and passwords are gone while the bookmarks remain.

I noticed that logins and passwords disappeared after the computer turned off unexpectedly due to low battery and unstable power connection couple times in a few minute interval.

How do I get back logins and passwords?

Firefox 80+ has a logins-backup.json file in the profile folder that can be used in case of issues with logins.json or to undo an accidental delete of a login, so you can check if you can find this file in the profile folder or in a backup and replace the current logins.json. Make sure to keep a backup copy of all involved files (logins.json and key4.db and logins-backup.json)

You can use the button on the "Help -> More Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.

Help -> More Troubleshooting Information -> Profile Folder/Directory: Windows: Open Folder; Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data

If you use a Primary Password then you can prevent losing passwords by canceling the PP prompt. You need to logout beforehand by canceling a PP prompt, e.g. by clicking the eye icon in Lockwise (about:logins).

Go to your local department/electronics store and look around for a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) that is useful for you. The lowest price is $50 +. There are also units on the market that plug into the computer. So, if the battery gets low, it will shut down the computer to protect it.

Note: Sudden power loss can damage or destroy a hard drive's data.

Yes, I have: logins.json logins-backup.json logins-json.corrupt

The largest one is logins-json.corrupt and the date when it was previously modified is when the initial problem occured.

I think logins-json.corrupt has all the information of logins and passwords. What should I do with it?

Lets try; rename logins.json to logins.json.old and logins-json.corrupt to logins.json

then use one of these;

Do not try to start Firefox yet.

Move these files to a safe location; all of the logins and the key3 and key4 files

Then start Firefox. After, try importing the password files you created from my previous post.

Hi, After doing it, all I got was one login and password - the one I saved after losing all of the passwords.

Are there any other moves I can do?

I think all of the logins and passwords are stored in logins-json.corrupt file (26.7 KB) , maybe there's a way how I can decrypt the information? I could use logins and passwords that are manually accessible.
